Location and arrival
Our beach house is located right next to the beach in the former fishing village of Lobbe, in the middle of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve on the Mönchgut peninsula. This region, shaped by the last ice age, enchants visitors with its endless sandy beaches, green salt marshes, rolling hills, dense reed beds, varied Bodden coastline, old fishermen's houses, and idyllic harbors.
Our beach house Buskam is also located directly on the popular coastal cycle path from Binz to Thiessow. The charming seaside resorts of Thiessow, Göhren, Baabe, Sellin, and Binz can be easily reached by bike or by regular bus services. From there, you can reach all other points on our beautiful island of Rügen.
This location is ideal for cycling, hiking, walking, jogging, and all kinds of water sports. Shopping facilities and restaurants are within walking distance.

FAQ - Our answers to frequently asked questions
Can I arrive before 5:00 p.m.?
If the Strandhaus Buskam is rented until your arrival day, we need enough time to clean and prepare the house for you. Unfortunately, this usually takes until 5:00 p.m. If we finish earlier, we will gladly send you a message upon request so you can enter the house sooner. Your access code will then also become valid earlier.
Can I bring my pet?
Since we also rent our Strandhaus Buskam to guests with allergies, we unfortunately cannot allow you to bring your beloved pet.
How do I get into the house?
You will receive an email with arrival information and a PIN code for the door lock 2 days before your arrival. With this, you can always access the house during your rental period.
Where can I park and charge my electric car?
You can park up to 2 cars on the property in a carport. One parking space is equipped with an 11 kW charging connection. Upon request, we will send you a separate access code for charging your vehicle (subject to a fee).
Can I pre-order food and bicycles?
Yes, we offer you the option to have your fridge stocked before your arrival for an additional charge. You can also order your desired type of bicycle online, which will then be delivered before your arrival and picked up after your departure. You should arrange this delivery service before your arrival via our tenant app.
How can I use the sauna?
Yes, you can use the sauna free of charge. If you wish, you can also rent additional sauna towels and bathrobes. You can order these in advance in our tenant app.
Where can I get firewood for the fireplace?
You can of course buy firewood at any supermarket in the area. However, we are also happy to provide you with firewood and kindling. It is best to order this before your arrival through our tenant app.
House rules
House Rules for Our Guests
(1) We place great importance on the cleanliness of our beautiful Strandhaus Buskam and kindly ask our guests to treat the furniture and equipment with care. As a tenant, you are also responsible for ensuring that your fellow travelers handle the property carefully.
(2) The Strandhaus Buskam may only be occupied by the number of persons specified in the rental contract. Any deviation requires prior written agreement. The maximum number includes children. In the event of over-occupancy, we are entitled to charge an appropriate additional fee for the duration of the excess occupancy, and any extra persons must leave the rental property immediately.
(3) Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the holiday home. If violated, we may charge a cleaning fee of up to €250.00 (net)—regardless of any additional costs incurred due to this breach. We strive to provide a fresh indoor environment for all subsequent guests. Smoking is only permitted outdoors at a safe distance from the thatched roof.
(4) Barbecuing is not permitted within the ensemble of our thatched-roof houses, as it poses a fire hazard. The same applies to handling New Year's Eve fireworks.
(5) There are two parking spaces on the property, each with a carport. Charging hybrid and electric vehicles is only allowed at the paid charging station in one of the carports. Setting up tents, caravans, or similar structures on the premises is not permitted.
(6) A quiet period is in effect from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM within the Strandhaus Lobbe complex. Guests must be mindful of their neighbors, all of whom are on vacation and seeking relaxation. Parties are prohibited at all times.
(7) Umbrellas should only be opened while under personal supervision and otherwise kept closed. Weather in Lobbe changes rapidly—rain may be blown away within minutes, but strong and gusty winds can follow just as quickly. Therefore, guests must ensure that windows and doors are closed when leaving the holiday home. The electronic underfloor heating system should be adjusted for energy efficiency and comfort. Lights and electrical devices must be switched off when leaving the house.
(8) Internet usage is permitted as long as it does not violate legal regulations. Illegal activities (such as unauthorized downloads or access to restricted websites) will be reported and prosecuted. The guest bears full liability for any unlawful internet use.
(9) Pets of any kind are not allowed in our Strandhaus Buskam. If animals are brought in without prior approval, the landlord may charge a cleaning fee of €250.00 (net), as well as additional costs incurred due to this violation.
(10) Installing or affixing materials for decoration, shading, or similar purposes is not permitted in the holiday home. Guests are fully liable for any unauthorized modifications and must compensate the landlord for any damages. The guest also indemnifies the landlord against claims from third parties related to such actions.
(11) The landlord or their representatives have the right to access the Strandhaus Buskam at any time, particularly in cases of imminent danger. Consideration will be given to the guest’s interests when exercising this right. The landlord will inform the guest in advance unless circumstances make it unreasonable or impossible.
